Leoben Logistics Summer 2019 - Rethinking the Digital Future!
When great speakers discuss explosive future topics and develop new, cross-generational mindsets together with the participants, the stage is set for the Leoben Logistics Summer. More than 300 participants, over 60 partners and sponsors, seven fully booked workshops and a great Innovators Clubbing - the 17th edition of the think tank and mastermind event was able to inspire pupils, students, startups and companies alike with this year's motto "digital minds".
The Metal Masters of umdasch contract manufacturing presented their broad line portfolio from services to complex manufacturing technologies. With the liquid dispenser in retro gas station look, contemporary topics such as plastic waste avoidance, umdasch's manufacturing expertise were combined with digital cloud integration of the dispenser.
An exciting prelude from a philosophical perspective was provided by the Norwegian economic philosopher and bestselling author Anders Indset in response to the question "What comes after digitization?": "If we want to understand the changing society, we must rethink the economy and design a society of reason and rationality! Everything must be reusable. We need and must develop new approaches, new business models and a new form of capitalism!" We need to create technologies that support us. However, there is no compass and we need new perspectives and values. He sees the young generation as Leaders of Change - shapers of the future. Therefore, the self-confidence of the youth should be strengthened and promoted. His appeal to young and old in the Audimax of the University of Leoben: "Take time to think, question your own knowledge, learn, stay curious and interested for a lifetime!"
